<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The combination of the obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) syndrome and arterial hypertension (AH) is a common problem affecting both the medical and social aspects of a patient's life. CPAP-therapy is the main treatment of sleep-discorded breathing. This paper focuses on up-to-date data on the relationship between OSA and AH and reviews studies evaluating the effect of CPAP-therapy on blood pressure, the risk of cardiovascular complications and the quality of life of patients.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>синдром обструктивного апноэ сна</kwd><kwd>артериальная гипертония</kwd><kwd>артериальное давление</kwd><kwd>СИПАП-терапия</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>obstructive sleep apnea syndrome</kwd><kwd>arterial hypertension</kwd><kwd>blood pressure</kwd><kwd>CPAP-therapy</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Peppard P.E, Young T, Barnet J.H et al.
