Значительно повышенная частота возникновения ОНМК у больных СД предполагает существование у них дополнительных причин и механизмов поражения сосудов головного мозга помимо изменений, вызванных АГ. Вероятно, и сами изменения мозгового кровотока у больных СД тяжелее, чем у больных АГ без СД. Цель нашего исследования определил поиск средств, способных не только эффективно снижать АД, но и улучшать мозговой кровоток у пациентов с множественными метаболическими нарушениями, какими являются больные СД типа 2. Цель настоящего исследования состояла в изучении влияния терапии антагонистом рецепторов ангиотензина (АРА) ирбесартаном на АД, углеводный, липидный обмен, показатель чувствительности к инсулину и перфузию головного мозга у пациентов с мягкой и умеренной АГ и СД типа 2.
